MONDAY MARCH 16, 2020: It is amazing how much things change in a few hours. We have received the following communication from the Bishop’s Office. Below is a summary from the Bishop.
“What I write to you today is very difficult news to bear. But in a greater abundance of caution and from what I have heard from the local healthcare professionals, I believe it is in the best interest given these ‘extraordinary’ times. Therefore, beginning tomorrow March 17 through Sunday, April 5, I am temporarily suspending all public Masses throughout the Diocese of Saginaw. This action of suspending all public Masses flows from the Catholic Church’s essential belief in the preciousness of every human life.”
With this new information from the Bishop the following will also be cancelled at Nativity of the Lord Parish
- Word and Communion Services on Noon Tuesday
- Mass at 9am on Wednesday’s morning
- Masses on the weekend (6:30pm Saturday and 10:00am Sunday)
- Friday Bible Studies
- Lenten Communal Penance service on Thursday April 2nd
- Taize Prayer Service on Sunday Mar 22nd (which was to be held at St. Vincent de Paul, Shepherd)

Blessings,
Deacon Rick
